STAMMER - Lecture in theory 2007
Stammer – Lecture in Theory, 2007
The project is divided into two segments– a twelve minute video and a thirty minute live performance. The concept represents the attempt to envision three parallel virtual mental planes through which the artist moves in a performance between a scene where he confronts the audience through reading, drawing, and writing in three different mediums and questions the nature of transformation between what is physical, internal, spontaneous, and dramatic. He theoretically portrays the conscious and perceptive states when trying to read and explain the theory of descriptive duality that examines the relationship between the mind and the body.
The psychological intensity of the scene increases as the artist keeps alternating between both states until both ends freeze and are no longer capable of expression.
